Latest changes in our services (updated 14/04/2021)

  • We are running a clinical telephone triage service to reduce the risk to patients & staff.  That means a GP will call you to deal with you query over the phone first and only invite you for a face to face appointment if they think it is necessary. Reception staff will ask you for a nature of your illness before booking an appointment.
  • Please do not attend the surgery unless deemed absolutely necessary. If attending the premises, please ring the entry phone located on the right hand side of the lobby door and our staff will attend you accordingly. Patients who are refusing to wear a face mask will not be permitted to enter. We will also check your temperature using a contactless thermometer.
  • Do not arrive early for your appointment as we have to maintain social distancing in the reception area and therefore have limited spaces available.
  • Only one parent/carer is permitted at the surgery with their dependent during the appointment.
  • If you need to request your repeat medication please use your patient online access or pharmacy to order on you behalf as usual.
  • For medical certification from absence of work related to the Covid-19 pandemic – please read this document and provide to your employer as we will not be able to provide these: Medical certificate requests
  • To get an isolation note please use: https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/
  • Nurses continue to provide necessary care like: wound care, stitches removal, baby immunizations, contraceptive / depot injections, smear tests and diabetic reviews.
  • The Youth Clinic is managed via the telephone only.
  • Your telephone triage appointment can be booked on the phone or online via the Patient Online Access. Patients can still use E-consultations via our website.
  • If you are concerned over the coronavirus please look at NHS official guidance which is updated regularly this also includes information on getting a test:

Enhanced Covid-19 testing for new variant

Everyone over the age of 11 living or working in the boroughs of Lambeth and Wandsworth is being asked to get a PCR test for Covid-19 even if they have no symptoms. This follows Public Health England identification of two separate clusters of cases of the variant first identified in South Africa (B.1.351 (VOC-20DEC-02)) in Lambeth and Wandsworth, which have been genomically confirmed to be linked.

Testing is recommended in order to check there are no further cases in these areas and to control any further spread. You should get a test even if you have been vaccinated. If you have had a positive PCR test in the last 90 days you do not need to get a further a test unless you develop symptoms.

There are up to 9 sites across the borough where testing can either be undertaken onsite or kits can be collected and tests performed at home and returned to one of our testing sites. The list of sites and open times is available on the Lambeth Council website. Currently all Lambeth Council run sites will be allowing walk in testing without appointments.

Residents with symptoms of Covid-19

  • Self-isolate, together with your household, get tested (https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or ring 119) and help NHS Test and Trace to identify close contacts who also need to self-isolate.

Housebound residents

  • Housebound residents or those clinically extremely vulnerable who are concerned about attending a testing centre can either order a test to be delivered to them at home, or ask someone to collect a test on their behalf from one of our testing sites.

Workers or visitors to Lambeth

  • Anyone who is working or has visited the area can access a test at the sites listed on the Council website.

Please see attached Lambeth’s leaflet with useful information and services contact that support Lambeth residents during Covid-19. Click here for a leaflet:
